Restoring your HP laptop to factory settings



Issue


My HP Pavilion DV6700 notebook Laptop, with Vista home premium installed is encountering several problems:


It is not loading any files or launching programs , even after making a Virus scan and repairing the registry with Reg Cleaner , it still has a erratic behavior.

Solution


The logical step is to make a system restore (rolling back changes to factory settings).

Notes

  • Before these manipulations , make a back up of your important files.
  • Note that your HP Laptop has a recovery partition, make sure that no changes have been made to the folders or files it contains.
  • Upon creating you recovery disks , store them properly ,as they can reveal to be very useful in these types of situations
