iPhone: Forcing an application to quit (firmware 3)

Issue

With the earlier versions of the iPhone firmware, you normally hold the HOME button (center button down) to force the current application to quit.

With the version 3 firmware, this is no longer possible because it activates the voice recognition.

Solution

  • Hold down the ON/OFF
  • And whe the screen is turning off, hold down the HOME button
