Intro


JkDefrag and Avast antivirus are programs that have the ability to work in the backgroung (while screen saver is active)
This trick will perform a disk defragmentation, but also to launch a virus scan while the screen saver is active, all automatically.

Getting started



  • Procedure
    • After installing both software, open the Display Properties and select the Screen Saver tab. (Right click on the desktop/Properties/Screensaver)
    • In the menu screen saver, select JkDefragScreenSaver, then click the Settings button.
    • In the window that opens, select Avast! antivirus from the dropdown menu screen saver to start after JkDefrag.
    • Confirm with "OK", then "Apply".
      • It is possible to configure Avast! so that it scans the entire drive or selected folders only.
