Enable or disable the automatic boot from CD-ROM

Often viruses are transmitted by a CD via its automatic execution. To prevent this, simply disable the automatic start of a CD to be able to analyze the virus.

To do this:
  • Right-click on the icon My Computer/Properties/Hardware/ or Start/Control Panel/System/Hardware.
  • Device Manager tab. In the list, click the + CD-ROM, select the CD-ROM concerned.
  • Click Properties, Settings tab.
  • Uncheck the Auto Insert Notification.
  • Press OK
