Under Vista pressing on the stop button the following will result:
  • Stop your PC faster with Vista

    • Go to:Control Panel/Power Options
    • Click Change plan settings
    • In the new window, click Change advanced power settings
    • In the list that appears, expand Power buttons and Lid and Start Menu power Button
