This tip has been successfuly tested on vista and xp.

Assign a password to the guest account

In the case that you have enabled a guest account on your computer and you want to restrict it's access, you must assign a password to this account.
  • Since windows does not offer this option, you must actvite this feature manually:
  • Click start/run (or made windows + R)
  • type: control userpasswords2 and click ok.


In the window that opens, click on "guest" then "reset password" and enter a new password.

That's all simple but effective.
