Gmail is a very good mailbox and here is a list its capabilities.

Navigation:
Selection:
- '*' Then a: select all messages
- '*' Then n: deselects all messages
- '*' Then r: selects all the messages you've already read
- '*' Then u: selects all messages that you have not read
- '*' Then s: selects all the messages is enabled
- '*' Then t: selects all the messages is disabled.
Access:
- g then a: all messages sent and received
- g then s: all conversations with monitoring
- g then c: list of contacts
- g then d: all drafts
- g then i: Inbox
- g then t: all posts
View external content

The image of your profile

To show or not the picture of your contacts
Messages indicator
Used to specify which messages you are the only recipient.
Auto Answer
Will send a systematic response to each email received. You can choose to send a reply to people on your contact list
Text encoding
Selects the encoding used to send mails.
Attachments
Can limit the number of attachments 1.
Log Browser
Allows you to switch to secure connection (https)
