Improve your gaming experience on COD4, by adding new maps.

Patching the game with the latest version

First of all, it is necessary to install the patch version 1.4 or higher, the latter, the 1.7 is available here:

Installing the new map

If you download a file .zip or .rar file, extract it
Then you must create a directory named "usermaps" at the root of the installation directory of the game
Default: C:\Program files\activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\usermaps\
In this directory, copy all the files downloaded excepting the .iwd files
These files with the extension .iwd must be copied into the mods directory.
default: C:\Program files\activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\Mods\ModWarfare\

Launching the game

The maps are not included in the list of maps at the start of the game

Starting the game in multi-player mode , and enable the Warfare mod installed by default.
Then start it normally, choose the equipment and validate.
Once in the game, open the console and then type the command:

/map name-of-map

Then the game will load the custom map.
