Error Message: Windows cannot run Wireless Connection
If you receive an error message that states that Windows cannot run your connection while trying to access your wireless network, this might mean that your hardware manufacturer has provided you with its own wireless configuration software as an alternative to Window’s Wireless Zero Configuration service. Hence, try to make use of the manufacturer’s software to solve this issue.
If this is not the case, refer to the following:
Use Windows to configure your wireless settings
Step 1: Go to the Start menu and select the “Run” option
Step 2: Enter “ncpa.cpl” and click “OK” to open the “Network Connections” menu
Step 3: Select your wireless connection service and choose the option “Change settings of this connection”.
Step 4: Go to the “Wireless Networks” tab and check the box labeled “Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings”
Launch Windows Zero Configuration
Step 5: go to the Start menu again and select the “Run” option
Step 6: Enter “%SystemRoot%\system32\services.msc /s” and click “OK”
Step 7: Double-click on the option labeled “Wireless Zero Configuration”
Step 8: Then, go to the “Startup type” list and click “Automatic”. Click “Apply” to confirm the changes
Step 9: Hence, click “Start” in the “Service status” section and “OK” to apply the changes.
