Installing Opera on Ubuntu
You prefer using Opera as your Web browser on Ubuntu. Opera is fast and supports a lot of features.
Please follow these steps to successfully install opera:
Under Ubuntu 7.10 – Gutsy Gibbon
Type in the command:
sudo aptitude install opera
Installing Opera on previous ubuntu versions
Visit the Opera official website to download Opera:
http://www.opera.com/download
When Opera has been download this .deb file will appear on your desktop:
• All you have to do now is to run the downloaded .deb file and then just click Install Package, enter your administrator password.
• Once the installation is done, access Opera from the Application Menu, Select Agree to accept the license.
• Opera is now Installed.
