Keyboard /Mouse Tips for Excel





Intro


Excel tutorials give hints that make the difference between a needy use and flexibility. Here are some examples:
  • Copy the highlight to the clipboard: [Ctrl + Ins]
  • Paste the clipboard on the current cursor: [Shift + Insert]


Works when right clicking is not available.
  • Select a line from the 1st cell left: [Shift + (End and Right Arrow)]
  • Select a line from the last cell right: [Shift + (End and Left Arrow)]
  • Select a column from the 1st cell high: [Shift + (End, then Down Arrow)]
  • Select a column from the last cell low: [Shift + (End, then Up arrow)]
  • Select the sheet : Click on the white top left
  • Go to top of window (or beginning of text box) :[Ctrl + Home]
  • Go to end of window (or end of text box) : [Ctrl + End]
  • Copy the screen to the clipboard : [Prt Sc]
  • Copy the active window to the clipboard (maybe a seizure outside Excel!) :[Alt + Prt Sc]

Other Shortcuts


Copy selection to clipboard Ctrl + C
