GOOGLE Criteria
What are the criteria for Google position
Links Exchange
What you need to focus primarily on your site, the trade links. Indeed, there will be more links to your site, it will better be positioned.
Your Pages Website
This title is to fill in the tags <title>. Use about 10 words by choosing the most explicit possible to describe the content of your page.
Avoid putting the same terms and repeat the name of your site on all pages.
Your pages contents
Google blocks text images made in Photoshop or Flash which are prohibited.
Therefore, sites which are entirely in Flash is seldom taken into account, having very little text content and HTML tags in their source.
The hierarchy
Google also likes the hierarchy. Prefer tags h1, h2 ... rather than size for titles and subtitles within your pages.
Meta tags
They describe your site. The meta description tag should be filled with 10/20 the most explicit words possible.
Remember always the words used by Internet users to access your site and use it to build the description of it.
For meta keywords (keywords), Google does worry about. Many follow his path but it is always useful to save for a listing in directories.
Again, not bother to save 50. Better to put little but they are well targeted, particularly since they are different on each page.
However, Google only uses very few meta tags to focus on the content pages. Put all the same meta tags, but in general they will be very little use.
Important:
- If Google manages the accent quite well (data = data) in contrast plurals are still missing. So names in singular and plural.
- Remember to put on each of your pages a link on the page "Sitemap".
The Sitemaps
Google offers with a Google account (free), a service that allows you to check your indexing and possibly to improve it, by showing you how your pages were indexed. It's very simple, and it's worth the trouble.
The don'ts
First, sites without content may attract only very few Google. Needless also to fill your pages for keywords (this also includes the keywords at the top, white on white): You may on the contrary to you off the list of the famous search engine.
Needless also to submit your site more than once using the form to add Google. Your request will probably be considered only once, and once again it can be considered as spam and ultimately ruin your chances of being indexed.
