Enabling Telnet on Vista

The telnet command under Windows Vista is by default disabled for security reasons. However, it is possible to reactivate easily.

Follow the steps below:
  • Open Control Panel, then click on Programs and select Programs and Features.
  • In the Tasks panel on the left, choose Enable or disable Windows features.
  • In the list, check the Telnet Client.
