In Windows Vista, if you unintentionally deleted the shortcut to the Office SnippingTool, here's how to find it.
  • Go to Control Panel> Programs and Features
  • Check to see if the box "Optional Components for Tablet PC" is checked.
  • On the taskbar, right-click on the icon SnippingTool, then click "Open File Location":
  • Locate the program line SnippingTool, right-click it and choose Send To> Desktop (create shortcut):
  • So, the shortcut is back on the desktop:
