VirtualBox: Setting an internet access for a Vista VM







To use the Internet with Vista via VirtualBox under Ubuntu Gutsy (7.10), for example:
  • Vista natively has no internet connection in VirtualBox (unlike XP) as Ethernet controller is absent.
  • For this connection, it is necessary to install an AMD driver:
      • The NDIS5
  • The first of the list on this page

  • After installing the client Additions, refer to this tip :


You just have to burn the driver (on a CD or DVD) and install it: Vista will have an Internet connection.
