Call of duty 2 bugs on VISTA






You have problems running COD 2 on Vista? This is because this FPS game was released before vista
So we will now do some tricks to be able to enjoy this game at ease.

Patch Installation


To start, Install COD2 in the administrator mode.
Then install the patch v1.3

Direct X 10 configurations


Then there is a conflict between the game and DirectX 10.

To solve it, start the game and in options, choose DirectX 7, as preferred method of return.

Indeed there is also a bug with DirectX 9 and anti-aliasing under Vista.
If disabling this the game does not start, choose DirectX 7.

Obviously, this will be a little less beautiful.

Multiplayer Mode


Finally, to play multiplayer on Vista, it is imperative to do this for fear of crashing:

Panel => sound => Registration => activate all the recording device.

On XP, no problems.
