Free up space on the system partition
Your hard drive encloses two partitions complying of:-
1) For system
2) For data.
The one for system is usually the one which is almost full and the other one for data is free of size.
However it is possible to resize your partition. For more information on how to resize your partition, click on:

Moreover it is also possible to free up space on the C partition by transferring elements installed by default on the other partition mostly the following listed files.
The folder "My Documents"
To move same, right click on the folder, then select properties >move to indicate the new target.
Favorites
To move the file favorites, there are some modification that are required in the registry:
Open the registry (
Start > Run and type
regedit).
Then scroll to the following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ User Shell Folders
Double-click on
Favorites and indicate the
new path.

Double click on
Tools > Options > Maintenance tab > file storage > Edit.
The swap file
Go to
Control Panel > System > Advanced tab. Then click on "
Settings" under "
Performance"
Go to Advanced tab and click on
Edit.
Check "
No paging file" then click "
Define".
Select the partition on which you want to put the swap file and check the "
Size managed by the system" or "
Custom size"
Finally, click "
Set" to confirm the selection and then restart your PC.
Temporary files
Go to Control Panel> Internet Options> General tab> Browsing History. Click on Settings, move the file and indicate the new target.
To free more space on C partition, it is recommended that you delete the uninstall files for Windows updates. These are hidden files located under C: \ Windows and they are normally written in blue. They begin with $ NTUninstallKB.
Restore points
You can also remove old restore points by doing a Disk Cleanup:
Menu
Start > All Programs> Accessories> System Tools> Disk Cleanup
Select a partition, then go to
Extras tab and choose a
clean restore points.
