Cancelling verification of windows hard drive
You should have noticed due to hard disk or file system damaged, virus, improper shut down, when starting windows, you received an error message telling you that it is recommended to check one of your hard drive.
In this tips, we will show how to disable the disk verification as it is quite normal.
Once windows launched, go to menu “
Start” and select “
All Programs” followed by “
Accessories”.
Then Right-click “
Command Prompt” and select “
Run as administrator”.
Enter the following command
chkntfs / d
Press
ENTER.
This command will restore the default settings.
If it does not work, then enter the following command
chkntfs / x X:
X is the letter assigned for the partition that you have problems which will however exclude the partition check at start up.
