Protecting your system from suspicious applications

Introduction

Sandboxie is both an original and effective. As its name suggests, Sandboxie allows you to set up a sandbox on your computer.

Uses of a sand box:

In a traditional environment, applications running on your computer will perform direct reads and writes on your hard disk, as indicated on the following:

Using Sandboxie allows you to create a sandbox, ie a secure environment, between applications and the disk:

Thus, the records are no longer on disk. This helps to protect your computer from any malware by separating the operation of operating system applications.

Specifically, you just run your applications from the program interface for a totally secure environment. Thereafter, all the malicious changes will not be directly on your hard disk but in your environment. Similarly, all the traces left by your activities online (bookmarks, cookies, history, Internet cache ...) will also be under the supervision of Sandboxie.

A Sandbox can not replace an antivirus because it acts on request of the user!
