Securing a website at a lower cost
Today the concept of security within infrastructure has become an issue not to be neglected.
With a secure
https:// connection and webcam, it is possible to implement a security monitoring adapted to a local computer or a home (even for a novice, at lower cost). Its quite good to have a video surveillance system.
To carry out this project, you can use the secure connection from LogMeIn site that offers the possibility to take remotely control of computers connected to a user via an e-mail address and password.

On the client, it was installed two cameras (webcam or IP camera).
The server also has a graphical application to the Wake on Lan posts on the site.
The process is achieved in four stages. Creating a user account with LogMeIn, the installation of a secure connection protocol on the server, adding the client in the secure account and the recovery of MAC addresses and IP addresses to make the Wake on Lan.
- Creation of account under LogMeIn
- Installation of secure connection protocol on server
- Addition of client
- Setting up the Wake on LAN
- Conclusion
Creating an Account under LogMeIn
To create the account you have to visit logmein, then create a new account. Several options are proposed for the project, we opted for the Free version, offering remote control only.
Then information on our user data, with different connections.
After these two steps, you come directly under the account created in which we can add the computers you want.
Installing secure connection protocol on server
We add our server to have access from LogMeIn!
Select all computers added to the free version, then follow the installation wizard, it can take a little time. At the end we note the presence of a small icon in the taskbar indicating that the connection is established.
Adding a Client
The addition of other computers is the same way but you have to log on with his user account on the computer that you wish to add.
Setting up the Wake on LAN
As the server is always on, it act as a vector for the Wake on LAN.
It gets the Mac address and IP addresses via the command line ipconfig/all in command prompt. Then via a GUI, as we have the remote control you can "wake up" the other stations and use the cameras.
Conclusion
Using LogMeIn allows an acquisition of secure remote internet connection via https: / /. It is possible to intervene on personal items from any other computer. The establishment of this service now allows users to monitor locally and this is no problem with another application. The wake on LAN allows you to switch positions of the network to view the cameras you want.
