EXCEL: The INTERSECTION function

You have a table consisting of rows and columns.

Want to know the value of the cell at the intersection of a particular row / column in your table

Example:

Your table:
- starts C3 to F3 ... for the column headings
- Begins at C4 toC12... for titles of lines
- Is filled with values, from D4 to F12
  • Click INSERTION / NAME / create / define the entire area of the table and select the areas under the proposed panel / ENTER.
  • Position your cursor to the cell of your choice (excluding the table .... where you wish to display the result)
  • write: = TitleColumn2 TitleLine3 (your actual title) .. and you get the value of the cell at the intersection.

Do not forget the space between the 2 titles; this is what defines the instruction NTERSECTION ".
