WIFI NETWORK IS SLOW

If you find your wireless network slow, below are some tips to improve its efficiency.

Improving scope

Some materials like paper or water prevent the propagation of radio waves. Sometimes the simple act of removing the pile of paper next to your wireless router can therefore gain power scope.

Change the channel

By default, most 802.11 appliances(WiFi) are configured to run on Channel 11. However, there are many other channels allowed for indoors.

If you have multiple WiFi devices on the same channel, this will undoubtedly reduce the speed of your wifi connection. In order to improve your network wifi connection, you can use software like NetStumbler which will compile a list of wifi networks and select the least used channel.

Place the router to a better location

If you place your PCs in a basement or in corner room you may experience poor network performance. So you can also move the wireless router to a better location.. Microwave oven and cordless phones causes network crashes when they are turned on.
