Blaster and Sasser: Causing continuous restart







When your computer is infected by the viruses Sasser or Blaster, Windows displays the following error message:

Generic Host Process for Win32 Services encountered a problem and needs to close
The below message is usually followed by another one as shown below:


Windows should not restart because the service Remote Procedure (RPC) has terminated unexpectedly

System Shutdown in 60 seconds Save all work in progress. Initiated by NT AUTHORITY \ SYSTEM

Windows must now restart

Below is a proposed solution in order to troubleshoot this failure:

Go to menu Start and select Run:

Type the following command:
shutdown -a

This will unable the restart process so that you can update your antivirus and detect the virus.
