Subtitles not responding





Issue


You have a video whose subtitle files are separated in two different files. However when playing, the subtitles do not appear all the times.

This may be due to the fact the characters are not recognized by the media player that you are using as the encoding is not compatible.

Solution

  • Go to menu and select Advanced Open File .


  • Then browse the film you wish to play and subtitles.
  • Click on Advance Options and in the encoding of Subtitles, select ISO 8859-1
