Google Pack - Discovering the pack
The applications contained in the Google pack,can be manage via the tool found in the Google Updater ( help, uninstalling, updating).
All software are installed as standard and are available, in the Start menu. In addition to the date of installation and space on the hard drive, you can find the version number of programs by clicking on their names.
If you need information about the Update Tool, click Help to access online help from Google. You will get much information, including the options proposed in the "Preferences". In addition, Google changes from time to time the pack and then offers additional applications. Click on "Get more software" for more information.
In the "Preferences" you have the choice regarding the updates frequency. Either they will be made automatically or manually.
Google Desktop index,act as a local search engine (find files on your PC). When you launch the application, the search form appears in your browser. Its use is similar to Web search box of Google.
The
Google Toolbar is displayed in the window of Internet Explorer or Firefox (depending on the browser used). Its main objective is to facilitate access to Google. Simply enter such a word in the text box and click "Send" to launch a Web query.
For security purposes
Norton Security Scan hasbeen implemented. This module can detect and remove viruses, worms and Trojan horses and spyware and spam on the computer.
Spyware Doctor is also included in the pack. It tracks down all kinds of spyware.However Google Pack provides a limited version.
Adobe Reader is present in the pack, for your music, videos and online radios.
Finally,telephony software like
Skype is integrated into the pack. The application offers attractive prices for direct communication and telephone calls.
