Packages available


Here is a lis packages available on Mandriva Kiosk:
  • Gnome 2.12
  • KDE 3.5
  • Firefox 1.5
  • Thunderbird 1.5
  • OpenOffice.org 2.0.2
  • Owners plugins (Flash, RealPlayer, Acrobat Reader, Skype, Mindawn, Java Runtime ...)
  • Drivers ... etc ...

Subscription conditions


To qualify for these sevices, in addition to the subscription form ,you must have:
  • An updated Mandriva 2006.0 (Official) Linux distribution , so those who have the 2006 Club Xmas Edition can benefit,
  • 4 updated packages: URPMI, GURPMI, RPMDrake, MDKOnline,
  • Use Firefox 1.0.6 or Konqueror to 3.4.2 minimum.


The application to this services are charged but being part of the Mandriva club will give you certain advantages.

Notice

  • If you compiled Gnome and KDE or earlier, there might be a conflict between your compiled version and the one from Mandriva Kiosk.You will have to choose the one you want to use.
  • Better remove the kino-plugins package before use .
  • Better uninstall the extension NoScript Firefox in order to use Mandriva Kiosk.
  • If you want to run XGL, it must stop before the X server and launch startxgl not start xgl
  • There is still no 64-bit version
