Delete / uninstall Norton AntiVirus / Norton Internet Security

It may happen that when you uninstall Norton Internet Security 2003, Norton Personal Firewall 2003, Norton Antivirus 2003 or earlier versions, same fails when using the Add / Remove Programs, Symantec provides tools (RnisUPG.exe or Rnav2003.exe) which unable uninstallation of those software completely.


These utilities enable deletion of all files and entries in the registry database installed by Norton Internet Security/Norton Personal Firewall, for 2003 and earlier versions. These utilities operate on all Windows versions(Windows 98 to Windows XP).

Download the file on the following address:
For Norton Internet Security or Norton Personal Firewall:

ftp://ftp.symantec.com/misc/consumer/RnisUPG.exe

For Norton Antivirus: ftp://ftp.symantec.com/misc/consumer/Rnav2003.exe

Double-click the file to run. For Windows NT, Windows XP or Windows 2000 you should connect to the administrator account.

Select the product version to delete and confirm by clicking on YES.
Restart the computer to save all settings.
