Change sound of an event on Vista









Under Windows XP and older versions, it is possible to change the sound attributed to an event.

Below is a tips of how to this modification under Windows Vista:

Go to Menu Start and select Control Panel

In the Classic view, click on Sound.

In view categories: click on Audio and Materials > Sound.

In the opened window, go to the tab Sounds.

Select an event in the list.

You can select a sound in the dropdown menu, or use the Browse button to select file on your hard disk, it is very important that this file is under format .WAV.


You can use the Test Button to listen to the file.

After changing the events that interest you, click on Save as and choose a name for your model sounds.

Then press "Apply" > "OK"
