Reset Firefox
Problem
After some configuration in the preferences of Firefox, it began to reload all images in the websites pages visited before, which result to a significant slowdown of the browser.
Solution
Note that in this case, uninstallation and re-installation of Firefox will not solve the above difficulty.
Making a reset of Firefox will set off the trouble. Below is a means of how to proceed:
- Under Windows XP
- Click on Start / Run
- Enter the following command:
firefox -safe-mode
- Under Windows Vista
- Click on Start button / Start Search
- Enter the following command:
firefox.exe -safe-mode
- Under Linux
- Under MacOS
Reset Firefox preferences (default )
- In the open window, select "Reset preferences to default Firefox"
- Click on "Make the changes and restart "
- You can now browse properly on Firefox.
