Mapping a Network Drive



Connect to your website without FTP client

Intro

  • You can use this trick to access your web space without FTP client (eg FileZila).
  • The trick is valid for all operating systems.

Implemetation

  • Open your Computer. Click on Tools, Options, Network Drive.
  • A window appears, click on the link visible at the bottom of this: Connect to a web site for storing documents and images.
  • The "Add a network location" wizard appears. Click Next.
  • Choose the location of this network and click Next again.
  • In the address bar, type the network address of your host.
  • Note that it must begin with the name of the FTP communication protocol, such as:
  • Click Next. In the window that appears, uncheck the Log on anonymously option.
  • Enter your username and click Next.
  • Choose a name for your network location and click Next.
  • Click Finish.
  • A window appears, enter your username and password.
  • That's it!!
    • The location will be in your My Computer folder.
