How can I change the operating system language?

March 2015

Computer users are often faced with the ordeal of changing the pre-set language of their operating system from English to the language of their choice. However, when equipped with knowledge of basic formatting, customizing the language of the Operating System like Windows Vista is no mammoth task. To enable this facility, one has to access the Control Panel, and then download the desired language pack via the Windows Update 'Options'. If the download is successful, one can go back to the Control Panel and select from the available Regional Language Services before using the languages tab to pick the Display Language of choice. This do-it-yourself procedure works for computers running Windows Vista, or even other upgraded versions for that matter.
