Manage and save RSS feeds in IE8
RSS feeds contain regularly updated information through websites.
When you visit a website, Internet explorer 8 detect the RSS feeds. If feeds are available, the Feeds button in the upper right turns orange and a sound is emitted.
To display a feed from a website
- click Feed button
- click on the Feed to be display
- (If a website also offers web Slice components button it turns green)
- Subscribe to a feed and you will automatically receive the contents of a page.
To subscribe to a feed:
- click the Feeds button to discover feeds on the web page
- Select
- click Subscribe to this feed
- Type a name for the Feed,
- Select the folder in which the feed will be created
- Click Subscribe
To add a feed to the Favorites panel of IE8
- click the Feeds button to discover feeds on the web page
- Select
- click Subscribe to this feed
click to select Add to Favorites in the Subscribe to this feed dialog box.
- If you already subscribe to a feed,
- click the Add button in the Favorites panel
To view the feeds you have subscribed
- click Favorites
- click Feeds
