Using your ADSL modem to create a LAN

Make a LAN with BSNL broadband connection


The ADSL modem provided by your ISPs can be used to create a LAN.
By default, its IP address will be 192.168.1.1 with subnet mask 255.255.255.0 with DHCP enabled.
  • PPPoE mode: this stands for Point to Point Protocol over Ethernet. Username and passwords are configured and saved the ADSL router.
  • The router acts as a DHCP server, a router and a LAN switch.
