A
reset of the web browser settings may be required in case there are problems during surfing the internet.
Restoring the default settings of the browser can be done through settings available in all browsers. The process to reset browsers varies so that the steps to
reset Internet Explorer are different from the ones with
reset Google Chrome for instance. While some browsers may have to be closed in order to
reset the browser, others can be reset when the
browser software is opened. All passwords,
bookmarks and other personalized data including the
browser settings will be lost after restoring the default settings of the browser.
Reset your browser
If your browser often crashes... it is sometimes useful to restore it to its default values to be able to get it up and running properly again.
Note that all your saved items (passwords, favourites) will be cleared.
Reset Internet Explorer
- Right-click on "Internet Explorer" icon --> Select "Properties" --> Click on "Advanced" tab --> Click on "Reset" button.
Reset Opera
- Close Opera.
- Rename your file opera6ini (type opera:about in Opera browser to locate).
- Restart Opera.
- If this does not work, rename the user profile folder.
Reset Google Chrome
- Click on the Tools menu.
- Select Options.
- Click the Advanced tab.
- Click Restore defaults.
- Confirm
- Click Close.

Safari
- Open Safari.
- Click on the "Safari" in your Safari menu.
- A drop-down menu will appear, simply click on the Reset Safari tab.
- A warning dialog will appear pointing out what will be removed.
- Click on the Reset button to complete the process.
- Safari will restart automatically.

- Click on the "Customize and Control Flock" button.
- Select Options.
