SweetIM/SweetPacks is a software which is designed to make instant messaging fun. It enables you to add fun smileys and winks. It runs well on MSN and Yahoo! Messenger, however to view the fun smileys, the people chatting with you must also install SweetIM on their computers. If you want to remove SweetIM from your computer and if the SweetIM installation causes security issues on your machine, free the memory.
On your PC, from the desktop, select Start, then open Control Panel. Click on Add or Remove Programs, select SweetIM from the list. Now click on Remove and SweetIM will be uninstalled.

SweetIM is a toolbar that is installed, sometimes without your knowledge, with many programs.

Note that upon installing such programs you are asked if you want to install a toolbar from a software partner. It is often a good idea to uncheck this option or make sure to read all the" Terms of Use".

Uninstalling the Toolbar - Via the Control Panel

• Click on Start > Control Panel > Add or remove programs
• Scroll down to SweetIM / Macrogaming Ltd and select it
• In the bottom right of the highlighted box, click on "Remove"

  • SweetPacks bundle uninstaller.

Using Sweet IM installer

If you're unable to uninstall it via the conventional methods download the Sweet IM installer:

• Download the file here: http://www.sweetim.com/download/install/SweetImSetup.exe
• Launch the .exe file and follow the instructions
• Then click the trash can icon
• Click "Next"

Using AdwCleaner

AdwCleaner is a tool created specifically designed for the removal of adwares:

• Download AdwCleaner (from Xplode) on the desktop.
• Run it, click Remove and for the scan to be completed. AdwCleaner may need to restart the computer during the operation.
• Once the removal is complete, a warning message will displayed: It is strongly advised to read carefully.

Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware is a general disinfection tool known for its effectiveness. I
-Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (from Rubber Ducky) on the desktop.
-Install the software.
-Make updates (Click on "Update" and then "Search for updates").
-Launch scan: Click on Search tab > Perform full scan.
-Once the scan is complete, click "Show Results".
-Select all detected items (some are not checked by default) and click "Remove Selected". If prompted to restart the PC, accept!

After cleaning: Secure your computer

To avoid installing more adware in the future, here are some tips:

• Never download programs offered through advertisements or suspicious sites.
• During the installation of a free program, read carefully the terms of use and reject all additional programs that are offered.
• If you use Avast! or AVG, remember to enable the detection of PUPs.
