Correct
GPRS settings from mobile operators such as
Airtel are required to access the internet from the
Micromax Q3 mobile phone. The
WAP settings of the
Micromax Q3 mobile phone may be configured from the Services menu of the
Micromax Q3 mobile phone. The
GPRS settings for Airtel Live have to be entered for account name, home page, data account, connection type,
proxy address and port. The Micromax Q3 must be restarted for the settings to take effect. Applications such as
Nimbuzz require
GPRS activation and the
Java Sim1/Sim2 profile of the
Micromax Q3 mobile phone.
Airtel GPRS Setings for Micromax Q3
Issue
I am looking for the Airtel GPRS settings to use on Micromax Q3.
Solution
You need to configure WAP settings on your phone:
- 1. Go to Services > WAP > Settings
- 2. Edit account > Select the SIM you want
- 3. Select Airtel Live > Edit Account
- 4. Here are the settings to use:
- Account name: Airtel Live
- Home page: http://live.airtelworld.com
- Data account: Airtel Live
- Connection type: HTTP
- Proxy address: 100.001.200.099
- Proxy port: 8080
- 5. Switch your phone off and on again
To use applications like Nimbuzz, you need to activate GPRS. You may need to call customer care to activate it. Then, follow these steps:
- 1. Go to Fun & Games
- 2. Go to Java settings
- 3. Select Java Sim1/Sim2 profile
