Issue


The most common Access Bios key is the "DEL" button or "F2". This depends on the laptop's model you own and it's quite embarassing when you are not being able to access your bios settings when you don't know which key to be pressed.

Solution


Here is a list of laptop models and brands with the keyboard commands / key for accessing the BIOS Setup:

Acer: F1, F2, CTRL+ALT+ESC
ARI: CTRL+ALT+ESC, CTRL+ALT+DEL
AST: CTRL+ALT+ESC, CTRL+ALT+DEL

Toshiba Notebook [Newer models]:
  • Turn on computer by Holding down power button while pressing the ESC key.

The machine will beep, then display:
Check System, then press [F1] key.
  • Release ESC key
  • Press F1 key
