How to share location on WhatsApp: iPhone, Android

If you ever need to share your current location to organise a meeting point, or to let your friends and family know where you are, then WhatsApp allows you to share your location. In this article we will show you how to share your GPS location on both Android and iPhone versions of WhatsApp.

How to send your location in WhatsApp?

Go to WhatsApp and open a chat with the contact you want to send your location to. Then press the + in the bottom left:

Once opened, select Location:

In the options that follow, you can Share Live Location or Send Your Current Location. Your live location will allow others to track your movement for a specified period of time. Sending your current location only shares one single location:

It's also possible to enter or search a specific address to share. Do this using the search bar at the top of the Send Location screen.
