Web pages browsed on the internet can be saved on the hard disk of the
computerfor
future use. The process for saving web pages on the
computer depends on the
web browser used.
Internet Explorer users should choose 'Save As' from the File menu where 'Web Archive' should be clicked to compile the web pages, with all its contents, in a single file. In
Google Chrome from the 'Save As' option, the field 'Web Page, complete' should be selected. Firefox users should select 'Save page As' and then 'Web page, Complete' to save the required web pages.
How can I save web pages on my computer?
IE
- For Internet Explorer, click on the File menu
- Click on "Save As"
- In the "Save as type" field, drop down the list and choose "Web Archive (Single File)"
This will compile the entire web page and all of its other elements as a single file.
Google Chrome
- Right click on the desired web page
- Select "Save As"
- In the "Save as type" field, drop down the list and choose "Web page, Complete"
Firefox
- Right click on the desired web page
- Select "Save page as" or use the following shortcut: Ctrl + S
- In the "Save as type" field, drop down the list and choose "Web page, Complete"
