Create a Skype account

Skype sign-up

Users are required to create a Skype account to make PC-to-PC or PC-to-phone voice calls over the internet. Before creating an account with Skype, it has to be installed on the computer system.Download Skype software for free from the internet and install Skype in the computer system. Once the installation has been completed successfully, a window will pop up and ask the user to create an account with Skype. If Skype is already installed in the system, follow the link to create a Skype account. Uninstall personal web-servers from the system running Skype, as there can be unwanted interference between Skype software]and web-servers.

If you do not have Skype, download and install it. The following window will appear after the installation has finished:

If Skype is already installed, run it and click "Do not have a Skype name?"



Note: Make sure you do not have a personal web server such as Wamp Server or EasyPHP launched in the background, as this could interfere with Skype.
