Seamlessly populate your iTunes artwork and lyrics

May 2013

Gimme SomeTune for Mac OS X 10.5 or higher

For those of you who love (need?) to have their music collection all
pretty and complete with lyrics and artwork, here is a cool app for Mac
OS X.

GimmeSomeTune (The only iTunes extension you'll ever need)
  • Donationware (Free)

Main features:

1) Fetch Artwork:
Whenever a song plays, GimmeSomeTune will automatically look up and
download the correct album artwork.

2) Fetch Lyrics:
Same thing as for artwork, whenever a song is played, the lyrics will be
added to the meta-tag information of that song.

Both of these features take place in the background without you even
noticing.

3) The info window:
A bezel-style popup will indicate which song is being played, along with
a few details such as album artwork, rating, artist, duration, etc.

4) The lyrics windows:
On demand, show lyrics for the song that is being played from your
library. You can even see lyrics for songs playing from your internet-radio.

Other features include:
  • HotKeys
  • iChat (song playing + picture to artwork)
  • Apple remote support
  • Mini controller
