Steam profile status: checker, privacy settings
If you want to change your Steam profile privacy settings it is relatively simple to do. You can restrict your settings to Friends only, or you can allow any member of the public to contact you. To change your profile status and privacy settings follow the procedure below.
- Click on your Username in the top right corner of the home page. You will see a drop down menu, select View My Profile.
- From here, go to Edit and select My Privacy Settings
- Now you can select your chosen Privacy Settings
