Wireless router- Unable connect to 192.168.1.1



Issue


I have BSNL boadband, whenever I try to connect http://192.168.1.1 it shows Internet Explorer cant connect.

Solution


First try to reset your WiFi router:
  • Press the "Reset" button on the router for a couple of seconds (20-30 secs).
  • All the LED indicators will blink, release the button and the router will restart.
  • Try to connect a again.


If you can't connect using:
  • 192.168.1.1
  • 192.168.1.0
  • 192.168.0.1


Open a terminal and run the following command:
  • ipconfig /flushdns
  • ipconfig /renew


You might need to reset your browser too:
  • Open Internet Explorer Options > Advanced tab > click reset and follow instructions,


Also repair your connections:
  • Right click on the network connection icon on the taskbar and click "Diagnose and repair".
