Thunderbird - Dashes displayed above signature

Issue

I have a problem with thunderbird. Each time I try to create a new message, there are two dashes "--" displayed above my signature.

• How to remove the dashes from my mails?

Solution

• Open Thunderbird.
• Go to Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> General -> Configuration Editor.
• Look for the following entry: "mail.identity.default.suppress_signature_separator".
• Double-click on the entry and set the value to "True".
