Sims 2 - No updates when using cheats

Issue

I've noticed that there are no available updates, when using cheats with Sims2, is there any solution for this problem?

Solution

autoPatch x: This cheat lets you re-enable notifications when updates are available for The Sims 2.

Enable autoPatch Viewer and go to custom content (the small flake-shaped button on the UCP (Universal Control Panel)). If an update is available, a message asks if you want to download it. (replace x with on or off)
