The Word application in Microsoft Office Software provides many features to create a Word document in a simple and convenient manner. The document is editable and reusable. You need to check all the necessary settings before using the application. Sometimes some of the keys stop working properly which is very inconvenient when trying to put together a document with the Office Software application. If your Backspace key is not properly working then go to file and choose the Word option. Click on Advanced and make sure that the Typing Replaces selected text is checked. If not, check the option and click on OK. The required key will now start working.
[Word] Backspace key not working properly
When I try to delete a block of characters with the backspace key, it does not work and I find myself at the beginning of the block.
- Click on File > Options > Advanced > Editing Options
- Make sure that "Typing replaces selected text" is checked.
