Starting Firefox in safe mode

Windows


Click on Start > Run and type one of these commands:
  • For 32-bit systems: "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -safe-mode
  • For 64 -bit systems: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -safe-mode


Alternatively you can use this simplified command: firefox -safe-mode

On the new versions of Firefox:
  • Click on the Firefox button > Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled.

MacOS


Open a terminal and type: /Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/firefox-bin -safe-mode

Linux


Open a terminal and type: path_to_firefox/firefox -safe-mode
