[Windows 2000]Restore the Add/Remove Programs feature

Upon uninstalling a program via the Add/Remove Programs utility, all you get is a white screen and the following error message error message like:

Solution
The Add/Remove programs feature can be installed directly from the Windows insallation disk. Look in
appwiz.cpl in the
I386 folder
Note that: In the case that you have I386 copied (during installation) to the root of C: C:\I386.
Close the window using the exit command:
Launch Add/Remove Programs and ... you have a new error message:
An unexpected error occurred
Object does not support this property or method

- Start> Run and enter one of the following commands:
- For Internet Explorer 6.0
- For Internet Explorer 5.0 or 5.5
After rebooting your PC, the Add/Remove Programs should work properly
