Samsung Kies is the PC client used to connect the Samsung Galaxy S mobile phone to a PC. If the Samsung Galaxy S mobile phone is not detected by a PC, an error message stating that MTP device driver has failed pops up. The most common reason for the error is an incompatible device driver. To solve this problem, the correct version of the USB device driver for the Samsung Galaxy S mobile phone must be installed for the operating system of the PC. Once the correct version of the Samsung device driver has been installed, the MTP device driver has failed error will not occur.

Issue

I'm unable to connect my Samsung Galaxy S to my Windows 7 64 bit PC. It is not detected by Kies.
