Some people may face various annoying problems with their monitor. One particular issue is the monitor going black. This problem takes place after every 2 seconds. The reason for this, is usually down to the age of the screen. After a few years or very heavy usage, a decrease in brightness on the screen of computer can be noticed. Another reason is decreased power which can lead to the screen appearing black. Users should seek professional and expert advice to find out what causes the monitor to go black, and hopefully fix it. Another easy trick is to try turning the brightness down - this sometimes work.

My LCD monitor keeps going black after 2 seconds.

Solution

If your LCD display is turning itself off due to ageing, an easy way to work around this is to turn the brightness down! The brightness goes down, therefore the display draws less power, and you can at least use it. As it warms up you should be able to gradually turn the brightness back up, although probably not all the way.
